I Feel Fine

I think of you and I don’t cringe anymore

sometimes I even smile

I believe i’m finally over you

I believe we are where we’re supposed to be

and I feel fine

It hits me and then I take a longer breath,

watching the life outside this bus

The air feels fresh and the sky is sunny once again

Memories will stay

though your face slowly fades away

I never thought it would end

I thought we’d make it forever

There’s no point in saying goodbye now

You were always gone

and now i’ve finally moved on

You will be fine

Your voice still lingers on

but I don’t miss you

The emotional bruises of your touch don't hurt no more

and I feel fine

I close my eyes and I cross my fingers

Like a ghost rushing towards the light

I just felt you passing me by

And through the filthy glass

I open my eyes and smile.
